This site is dedicated to the memory of Margaret Burns.

My wife Margaret fought bravely and uncomplainingly for almost five years with cancer. I dedicate this page to her memory and to all those, known and unknown to me, who have had to confront this terrible affliction, whether they be the victims themselves or their care givers. Margaret’s memory lives on through her two sons, her art work and the inspiration that she gave to me and to so many other people with whom she came into contact. In the autumn of 2007, I will be undertaking a charity walk on the Santiago de Compostela pilgrim way, starting in Sevilla in southern Spain, a journey of around 1,000 kilometres, which I hope to complete in around two months. The money raised in her memory will be donated to the World Cancer Research Fund, which I believe is doing very important work in researching areas such as diet and exercise in order to let individuals make informed personal life choices to help reduce the risk of ever being diagnosed with cancer. Please give as much as you can, either directly through this web site or by contacting me directly at plburns@kanguru.pt
